Datamining is an act of gathering user's information done by anyone. Many imageboards have a datamining system to prevent ban evaders (Terry A. Davis be sobbin right now its fucking sad) or something like that, though most can easily be bypassed. Many websites have already datamined (You) at this point.
An example of a heavily data mined website is the Kiwi Farms. On said Kiwi Farms, you have to solve a cryptogenic test with cloudflare, which sometimes goes down and BRAAAAPS! up the internet. Data miners can sometimes get hACK!ed, and people can lose their fucggan money because one little negro Janny stuffing hot pockets down his throat seethed.
