Mootxico is an imageboard dedicated (just like Heyuri) to oldfag 4chan culture. It is way less active than the former, only having around 12000 posts as of right now, five to six years since its inception.

On the 20th of September, 2020, news of longcat's death got to 4chan. Considering we are talking about modern 4chan many were not truly bothered, however a small collective decided the time would be ripe for a niche imageboard dedicated to safeguarding oldfag culture. Notably, wojak, pepe, and "based"/"cringe" are banned memes due to them being evaluated as worthless spam (this decision is akin to Heyuri's rule 8). Their front page consists of a background drawing of a city during nighttime with a caricature of longcat on the right side staring at the viewer.

It is one of the most high-effort *chans when it comes to UI, which is a shame since this is was an inactive imageboard since its inception.

Someone shilled world2ch and got banned for it.

Brief history

Nobody knows exactly when the website was founded. Around early 2021, the site launched in its current format with somephono called Barry constantly working on its features,eventually porting it to Source Engine. 1 year after longcat's death a longcat was added on every thread. Initially there was only a /b/ board - it was replaced by /lol/ in October 2021 and a hobbies board (/hob/), which still has under 1000 posts as of April 2026, was added in January 2023.

Foreign affairs

They mention Wapchan on their "crew" page, but, other than that, nobody notices mootxico, which is probably for the better. The Sharty (unlikely) or a 'cord (ambiguous messages, at some point they talk about setting up a base on the Swinny) discovered it in 2025 and attempted spamming it, but the site is so SNCA they probably gave up.

Positive aspects

The site's userbase actually does consist of oldfags (unlike the roleplayers over at Heyuri), in a somewhat recent thread someone claimed to be an originalfag and explained the way he managed to store his files while avoiding digital decay.

Design-wise it is, I must say, very original. Quoting is cyan, public moderator messages are magenta (reminiscent of the old DOS palette), "nigger" gets filtered to "Moor" and faggot gets filtered to the same word but with every letter having a color of the rainbow assigned to it. On boards, two threads at a time are displayed and they have a radio of all things.

It is not infested with undesirables like Heyuri, but that can be attributed to its low PPH and its obscurity. A couple of users are on NoFap. There are some threads, however, that showcase oldfag degeneracy (see negative aspects).

Negative aspects

Besides being a DNB, there is a thread dedicated to posting (and fapping to) the moot cat self-insert. Some users are quite aggressive, I have to mention.

A couple of posts bordering lolipedo behavior are still up.

There are probably more negative aspects that I have omitted by mistake. Despite the effort put into it the site is barely worth using.
