/soy/ is the main board on the Sharty and the majority of soysphere sites. It is the board dedicated to soyjaks and general discussion (even doe it’s usually not).
Despite soyjaks (or sometimes pepes or gigachads) being usually required to be the starting image for threads, some people still try to force non-Soyjak media on /soy/. This is most likely a holdover from 4chan qa, which had multiple factions fighting over who controlled the board.

The original /soy/ all the other ones are based on. Insignificant wars that get forgotten in about a week sometimes happen, usually about spammed new variants or non-Soyjak media.
