[edit | edit source]I2P is the most popular alternative to Tor which allows for truly anonymous email, torrenting and doesn't rely on centralized nodes as each device connected to I2P acts as its own node and each user can host their own website using the base software which is better suited to host hidden services unlike tor which is mainly meant to connect to the clearweb with hidden services being less of a focus but its download speeds are abysmal hovering around 40kbps-256kbps which is way worse than tor's download speed being on average 20mbps (why would you download anything from the darknet you fucking JARTYCUCK)
