7chan is an imageboard that used to be almost as popular as 4chan in the late 2000s, but is now even more inactive than Uboachan, a chan dedicated to Yume Nikki of all things. It’s the Henry‘s Hamburgers of Imageboards. The only reason it's still up is to provide us with a relic of the past, and, surprisingly, /soy/ pretty much never raided it, despite having BTFO'd sites like 1chan and Desuchan because they were once-great oldfag carcasses of their former selves.

7chan was made on the 25th of September, 2005, by some nophonos called symbion and zeneslev, and oh boy did it loathe 4chan, surpassing even the sharty in terms of pure hatred. It was an insignificant website until /b/-day happened. Along with a PPH-starving 420chan, 7chan would garner an unprecedented surge of activity, mainly thanks to /b/'s rapefugees, who were longing to post more borderline illegal content on a *chan.^🔒7chan is a more pretentious community than 4chan, and, despite advertising itself as a rulecuck-free imageboard, truth be told, it's moderation was just as strict as 4chan's (whom they call "niggertits"). They were also the first to host an /i/nvasion board (August 2006 - June 2007), as a response to moot "enforcing" the site's ban on raids. It moved to 420chan, and, eventually, to 711chan. One gemmy event in 7chan history was initiating the trolling of Hal Turner (beginning of 2008), a radio show host, which also involved 4chan, YTMND and Something fucking Awful. /b/-day veterans would grow increasingly disdainful of 7chan's administration due to it's obtuse policies and/or actions (for example, bringing back /fur/, the furfag board, in 2008) and the site experienced a spiritual death, not because of a cucked owner, but because of their fall into irrelevancy. Around late 2016 they just fucking gave up mantaining their culture and unbanned greentexts and image macros (yes, they took themselves very seriously). Guess what happened during the 2025 Cuckset: that's right, absolutely nothing! Only an admin post was made. They banned political discussion outside of their /civ/ board in January 2026 in an attempt to drive away the /pol/iticians that are apparently ruining their 2 PPH altchan.

Xhey still host loli and shota boards.Fortunately they're even more inactive than 7chan's other boards. Also xhey have a furfag board and are probably the most tolerant *chan when it comes to furries.

Someone also wrote "7chan.club" using pixel art on SoyPlace recently. The website doesn't exist (it just redirects to Leftypol) and it has nothing to do with this 7chan.
