In *chans, especially the Sharty, immigration refers to rather peculiar influxes of individuals that discovered a community months or even a few years after its initial creation. Usually, these immigrants can often be considered disruptive to a *chan as they are more accustomed to cultures from outside, mainstream ones in most cases, which may be antithetical to whatever the oldfags enjoy.
However, the real issue lies in certain hostile groups
that would stop at nothing to taint an already pure community that can function well on its own.
Why This Problem Matters
