Poly, also known as Polesuba or yotsubrah, is a notable gigachad, admin and developer of the Shemmy who also acted as its final and current owner, and xe is a proud desutroon 4cuck oldfag larper.

Xe has since shut it down (hopefully for good) and went back to posting on 4chan, specifically the [s4s] board, albeit xe also posts on the chinny rarely.

The Shemmy returned for it's anniversary, in January 2026. Poly currently admins the website, along with a mysterious manager who is likely the other person who samefags all the threads (some speculate it to be Coswork16 due to him somewhat obsessively replying after the manager says something).

History

Poly exclaimed his interests and consideration for a position as a developer in the Shemmy after Codefag, former developer of the Shemmy, announced his leave and the need for a new developer. After talks with the staff he was later hired and added a new and fixed soyquote button and the option to strp filenames. He held a Q&A under the name "poly" and during the time he was offline, users noticed his name closely resembled Pollyanna's (also known as Red on the sharty) and immediately went full on schizo mode and claimed Red had become a developer of the Shemmy who was trying to accomplish another Soypocalypse. Angeleno later redirected the site to The Ribbit Rally after hearing the allegations and this caused the Shemmy to go even more rogue. Poly later cross-posted in a few sites claiming it wasn't him who caused the redirect and denied multiple times that he was Red. He was stripped of server access ever since. Vadim later cleared out all allegations against Poly and referred to him as "she" to ragebait the Shemmycucks.

After months of working free on the site, he has gained more respect than he did compared to when he started. It got to a point where the Vadim administration was put back into place due to many people missing Poly, who left the staff 2 or 3 weeks beforehand. After a while he seemed to have had a lot of OC created that's centered around him.

Avatarfagging

Poly was well known for avatarfagging as Yotsuba and also occasionally avatarfags as Chito or Yuuri from Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (although this is rare now). Nowadays, he often uses characters from Azumanga Daioh and Hidamari Sketch to react to posts. The practice of consistently using these characters as his identity in posts received mixed reactions from the community. For some, his avatarfagging was seen as a red flag, leading to further rumors and accusations about him being a troon. While some users appreciated it as a nostalgic reminder of the site's earlier days, when avatarfagging with recognizable characters was a more common aspect of the Shemmy's culture.

Currently, xe is very poor and sustains ximself on leftover food, instant food and dairy products due to having to host the Shemmy while attending university at the same time.

Apparently xe finds it physically hard to swallow pills for whatever reason. Due to this, he rarely takes drugs for any illnesses he has.
