0chan or Øchan is a line of Russian imageboards that began around 2008. Some of them, specifically those running on Mitsuba, are very similar to 8chan due to the ability for users to create and moderate their own boards.

The original 0chan

0chan.ru (Nulchan, Nulch, Øchan) is an old dead popular Russian imageboard that was created by Misha (aka epicfailguy, EFG) in January 2008. It shut down in 2013—2014, the domain has since been purchased by a TV store.

0chan.hk

Misha resurrected this imageboard on a new self-made engine with a new domain as an April Fool's joke in 2017 (literally April 1, 2017). This imageboard was criticized for being retarded, so he got the moniker Govnulch (literally Shitchan). It shut down in 2019^{[or however the fact is unchecked]}.

Engine

The new engine thats is created by Misha called Mishaba, it allows to users to create and moderate their own boards (just like on the 8chan). Some people find the engine's design reminiscent of reddit, also people can create own boards like people create subreddits on reddit, which are why 0chan.hk has sometimes been called "anonymous reddit". Mishaba also used by most other 0chan clones, like 0club, ochan.ru, 0chan.pl, 0chan.xyz, 0chan.life and etc.

The thrembilion other 0chans

After 0chan.ru and 0chan.hk shut down, a lot of successors (clones) to the original 0chan (aka prisosaches) were made:

• 0-chan.ru (0-chan, Nultirech, ultrakozlach, kozlach) is an one of the oldest clones of 0chan. Unlike most of the similar imageboards, ​​it has been stable since 2013. It survived the discovery of most of the prisosaches, their death, rebirth and subsequent bending. During the falls of 0chan, it took on the lion's share of refugees from it. And in the end, after its final death, it became the main contender for the inheritance. At the moment, it is divided into two separate imageboards with diametrically different contingents, consisting of avatarfagging chats on one and meta-dependent niggers on the other. In modern times the content of this board is more like Iichan (russian anime imageboard for avatarfags) than 0chan. It is split into two segments, 2.0-chan.ru and 4.0-chan.ru, with the only observable difference between them being that 4.0-chan.ru has less NSFW content.
• ochan.ru (0chan.me, ochkochan, analchan) is a specific, but (sometimes) living small-sized imageboard, which has exactly 3.5 residents. The offical successor of ochan.ru is 0club.
• 0club (aka Kyulch) - The reason this page exists. Launched in 2025. Around 3 days into SoyPlace's existence, users of this 0chan, specifically /b/tards came to SoyPlace to shill. Most of these raiders were 1chan immigrants, because they drawed most 1chan memes - schizik (a purple round face-schizoid), chiyo-chichi (mascot of 1chan) with colors of 0cat, RAPED (a faggot's ass filled with cum, Faggot erased this drawing). Goes down and comes back once in a while. Currently maintains an anti-soyjak stance and what was soy colonies 1 month ago is now a dead board that got colonized by some one obsessed sprunkifag who larps as a UTTP member to make soycucks leak. He also tried to raid SNCApedia. As of now they are trying to raid the soysphere. Is the HTSMcord.
• 0chanru.net is a once popular prisosach. Along with 0-chan, it was a refuge for attention whores from 0chan when the latter was shut down again. Today, this board no longer exists, or maybe it does, if you register the IP in hosts, and the domain was probably captured by cybersquatters and redirects to various spam dumps, in particular, to the advertising-infested garbage dump Viralture.
• 0chan.pl is a polish [ev&oe the only thing polish there is the domain] clone of Govnulch, the second one. Among other things, it had archives of 0-chan, which are most likely lost forever.
• 0chan.plus (0chan.ru; 0chan.us; 2ch.so; 0chanru.net, pizdulch). This prisosach is best known for using the original 0chan.ru domain. It closed in 2024, at the same time the admin stopped communicating anywhere.
• 0chan.cc, 0chan.ml (also known as ssach) is a former popular rulescucked prisosach. In terms of the number of posts on /b/, ssach overtook 0-chan. Had almost a full set of 0chan boards (half of them are dead) and a whole bunch of 2.0 boards. Populated by attention whores and retarded niggers from sosach (russian 4chan). Recently we switched to flash loops, replacing the classic zero with a palm tree, and all this was implemented in a very clumsy way. Since 02/28/2016 they screwed up their domain, for some time there was a Google advert on the page, now the domain has been captured by cybersquatters and the link is another bait for suckers. Currently, it has completely died, at first it gave the error: Account Suspended, because Lenny (admin of this shit) forgot to pay for hosting. It was raised briefly at the end of 2020 - beginning of 2021. The audience did not change much. After a short revival, a redirect to 0-chan was set.
• 0chan.xyz is an another dead prisosach.
• 0chan.eu (europetuhach) is an another dead prisosach again.
• 0chan.life is a thankfully now-defunct prisosach. Its only notable use outside the Russian-speaking internet was for distributing Baby Monkey Torture (BMT) content, which is illegal in the United States

And a lot of other dnb prisosaches.

The most popular engines that used by 0chans are mishaba and Instant 0chan, but other engines are used as well.

HTSM controversy

0channers may have been a part of HTSM's rise on the sharty.^{[or however the fact is unchecked]}

Sharty-0chan War

After it was found out that the HTSM spam was coming from 0chan, Soyteens had prepared to attack the site. At first they tried to report the site to Cloudflare, (Marge are they fucking stupid) which failed so the 'teens instead began to spam 0chan's /b/, flooding the site with Ukrainian Cobsons. Then someone began spamming an image of a centipede (he's a common spammer on 0club).

Later on 0chan would go down due to a DDoS attack, most likely from a Soyteen. (Is is currently up right now as of now)

The sharty would continue to be spammed with HTSM on /soy/, with one 0channer claiming to have spammed HTSM during the Second Great Soysurgency. Sharty jannies haven't taken the conflict very seriously, with the tranitor BBQ believing that it is entirely faked by falseflagging Soyteens, which caused some backlash from the site's userbase (and proves just how retarded nu-shartycuck staff are).

Notable boards on 0club

• /b/ - The main board. Most activity happens there.
• /d/ - Basically /soy/ if it was Russian. Nobody fucking cares about that dead soycuck board anymore. And it's about ducks anyway now.
• /raid/ - Their raid board. Once prominent but now hidden due to snitching concerns.
